Who we are

1. What we collect
When you submit an enquiry form or book a call, we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to tell us about your project. When you use the site, we collect basic analytics data including pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, and referral source.

2. Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use enquiry details to respond to you and to scope and quote work. Our lawful basis is that this is a step you've asked us to take before entering into a contract. We use analytics to understand how the site performs and improve it, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the business. We only add you to a mailing list if you've explicitly asked us to, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

3. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We do use third-party services that process it on our behalf:

• Framer - hosts this website and processes form submissions

• Google Analytics - website traffic and usage data

• Google Workspace - email

• Stripe - payment processing

Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

4. Overseas transfer
Tigera operates from Australia and serves clients globally. The services listed above store and process data on servers located outside Australia, primarily in the United States and the European Union. By submitting information through this site, you consent to it being transferred and stored overseas.

5. Cookies
This site uses cookies for analytics and to remember your preferences. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won't stop you from using the site. If you're in the UK or EU, we'll ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.

6. How long we keep it
Enquiry and project correspondence is retained for seven years after the end of a project, in line with Australian record-keeping requirements. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Mailing list data is retained until you unsubscribe.

7. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold on you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it. If you're in the UK or EU, you can also ask us to send your data to another provider. Email alex@tigera.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. Complaints
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to sort it. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, if you're in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including two-factor authentication on our accounts and encrypted storage. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the last updated date at the top.
