Challange
A 41-page government report mapping manufacturing across six LGAs — almost entirely data, with no established creative direction.
ABS figures, economic modelling, location quotient analyses, employment trend charts, output benchmarks and LGA-by-LGA breakdowns. More than 35 charts, figures and tables, each carrying different levels of complexity. RDA had brand assets but no document template, so the visual system had to be built from scratch around content that was dense by nature and couldn't be simplified.

Goal
Hold authority in the room while staying accessible enough that anyone in the audience could find what they need.
A document that read as credible government communication without losing the regional business owner as a reader. Dense financial and economic content treated with the same design care as everything else.
Solution
The curved RDA brand forms became structural elements, anchoring chapter breaks and creating visual breathing room between data-heavy sections.
Colour was used deliberately — dark green, lime and warm neutral — to signal section shifts and guide the reader through the report's sequence without making the data feel dressed up. Every chart and figure was treated as a design element in its own right. The result reads as credible government communication while staying accessible.
